EZVIZ, a prominent name in smart home technology, has unveiled its latest innovation, the RS20 Pro, setting a new standard in home cleaning automation. The RS20 Pro aims to minimise human involvement in cleaning tasks with its advanced features designed for both hard floors and carpets.
The RS20 Pro integrates EZVIZ’s cutting-edge robotic technology, boasting several notable innovations. Key among these is its automatic mop installation and detachment system, alongside a 3-in-1 self-cleaning roller brush. The robot also features auto-lifting side brushes and dynamic edge mopping capabilities. A multifunctional charging station enhances the user experience by automatically emptying dust, washing mops, drying with hot air, and refilling clean water.
In a notable expansion of its capabilities, the RS20 Pro also functions as a mobile smart camera, incorporating EZVIZ’s established security technology to offer an added layer of home surveillance.
Kimi Zhou, EZVIZ’s product manager for smart cleaning, emphasised the robot’s contribution to achieving full automation in home cleaning. “We believe that the essence of smart cleaning lies in achieving 100% freedom from manual labour,” Zhou said. “With the RS20 Pro, we are closer to this ideal, eliminating the need for users to contend with unpleasant odours, dirty mops, clogged vacuums, or damp carpets.”
The RS20 Pro is particularly adept at handling delicate carpets. It uses real-time detection to avoid using wet mops on carpets, automatically detaching mops and lifting side brushes to protect fabric. Increased suction power is applied to clean carpets thoroughly without causing damage.
Designed to manage the challenges of homes with pets and children, the RS20 Pro employs LDS LiDAR, structured 3D laser technology, and an AI camera to identify over 65 types of common objects. This advanced navigation system ensures efficient operation even in multi-storey homes. The robot features a powerful 7,200 suction power and dual swirling pads with 10N pressure for effective mopping. Its 3-in-1 roller brush combines a rubber strip and bristle brush to tackle hidden dirt effectively. Maintenance is straightforward, as the RS20 Pro self-empties collected waste and uses a built-in blade to cut tangled hair from the brush.
“Homeowners no longer need to clutter their rooms with various cleaning tools,” Zhou added. “The all-in-one RS20 Pro supports ‘smart laziness,’ freeing up more time for family activities and personal hobbies.”
