The event will take place from 10 am to 4 pm at Whittaker Avenue, inviting residents and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit.

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose and carve their very own pumpkins, transforming them into frightful masterpieces. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or a seasoned carver, this event caters to all ages and skill levels, ensuring everyone can unleash their creativity.

In addition to pumpkin carving, the event will feature talented face painters who will help participants transform into ghoulish ghosts or spooky skeletons. With so many opportunities for festive fun, families are encouraged to capture the eerie magic with haunting selfies and share their spooky creations on social media.

Anna Bromley, Marketing Manager at Be Richmond BID, expressed excitement about the upcoming event. “This is one of our favourite events of the year; it’s all about bringing Richmond together to enjoy a day filled with creativity, fun, and community spirit,” she said. “We can’t wait to see everyone’s amazing pumpkin designs.”

As Richmond’s Business Improvement District (BID), Be Richmond is committed to promoting the local business community, fostering economic growth, and enhancing the overall shopping experience in the town centre. This event not only encourages community engagement but also highlights the vibrant local businesses that contribute to Richmond’s charm.

Parents are reminded to dress their little ones in warm clothing, as the weather can be unpredictable during this time of year. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own carving tools, although some basic supplies will be provided on-site.

The Be Spooky free Pumpkin Patch is expected to attract a large crowd, making it an ideal occasion for families to connect and enjoy a festive atmosphere. Local businesses will also have a chance to showcase their products, adding to the community spirit and excitement of the day.
