Ensuring the world produces enough food to feed an increasing population affordably is one of this century’s most important global challenges, and whether agricultural productivity needs to increase by 70% or 100% by 2050, relieving hundreds of millions of people from poverty and malnutrition will require a second Green Revolution and a recognition that debates for or against particular farming systems and technologies are for the past.
